This Custom Component is used to connection two angle rails (created using S77) at 90° corners with a bolted angle.
There are four location options that this Custom Component uses to locate the angle in relation to the two angle rails which you should set before applying the connection to the parts. However it you don't apply it first, just modify it after is is applied to get the desired angle position.


You also need to set the Rail Rotation option accordingly so it matches the rotation of the rail profiles you are connecting.



Before you start do the following:

• Create at least 2 angle handrail systems, 90° to each other. It is recommended to use the provided Industrial_Angle attribute in S77 as a start point.
• Make sure the Objects in Components icon is down

Picking order (always from the perspective of the acute angle side)

1.    Left side Angle Rail
2.    Right side Angle Rail

TYPE: CONNECTION

Use this Custom Component to join two angle rails at a corner.





Picking order:

1.    Select the Angle Rail which will be extended

2.    Select the other Angle Rail which will be cut and get a plate welded to it.



NOTE: Depending on the orientation of the first angle rail, the plate and cut will not get created correctly for the second rail.



When this occurs, change the Up direction to -z on the General tab.





As a result, the plate and cut will be created correctly.


 

How the bolt is located.

If you enter 0" for the bolt edge values, then the bolt will be located in the center of the plate.



  

Otherwise, you can enter a desired edge values and these values will be used to located the bolt.

TYPE: SEAM

This Custom Component is used to cut one leg of a middle Angle rail around an Angle Stanchion.




You can control the cut gap as shown here.



This Custom Component can be used inside System Component S77 on the Middle Rails tab by loading in this Angle Rail Cut custom component and the Industrial_Angle attribute or any other attribute you save inside this custom component.




This component is also included in the ENG_BaseTemplate and ENG_PlateworkModel model templates.
