Using the U Inside Connection

1. From the component catalog select the U_Inside_Connection component.

Property	Description
Image	The Gauge Line dimensions of the profiles are read automatically from the GaugeLines.dat file (in the model, firm or system folder). These can be over written by the user if necessary.
Image	Option to specify a set dimension to the end of the brace, or select a factor. (user input number*hole diameter)
Switch Dummy	Option to switch the poisiton of the dummy part used to help calculate the bolt length.

Image	Option to create a cut on the inside brace to avoid clashing with another brace. Options to specify cut dimensions.
Image	Option to specify a distance from the leg root radius that the brace will be cut.

Additional information

• The Component is expecting U profiles, any other profile will give incorrect results.
