A component to apply a Single brace connection to a tower leg and plate.

Using the Single Brace Plate Inside

To use the component:
  1. From the component catalog select the Single_Brace_Plate_Inside component.

  1. Select the parts in the model (3 No.), the selection order is always, the leg, the inside brace then the plate.

The Gauge Line dimensions of the profiles are read automatically from the GaugeLines.dat file (in the model, firm or system folder).
These can be over written by the user if necessary.

Option to specify a set dimension to the end of the brace, or select a factor. (user input number*hole diameter)
Switch BM FaceOption to switch the face from which the gauge line is shown. (dummy arrows in the model will show the face).
Normally this is from the back of the L profile but in some cases it may be shown from the leg instead, the user can use this option to over ride the Tekla default.
Create 2nd BoltOption to have a single bolt connection.

 
Swicth DummyOption to switch the poisiton of the dummy part used to help calculate the bolt length.

Option to turn on/off 2nd and 3rd washer plate.
1st washer plate is always created.

Option to choose the washer plate profile (thickness and width)

Option to specify a distance from the leg root radius that the brace will be cut.
 


Additional information

  • The Component is expecting equal L profiles, any other profile will give incorrect results.
