Kingspan / Metl-Con Eaves Beam Restraint (16)

The Eaves Beam Restraint macrosaved series of actions that includes instructions for a program

Macros are located in the applications and components catalog. They are recorded or created manually and stored as .cs file in a folder defined with the advanced option XS_MACRO_DIRECTORY.

Macros can, for example, be used for creating drawings or reports.

Macros are sometimes used to run an application.

is used to place a strut between the Eaves Beam and the first purlin on a pitched roof.
The macro contains two methods of input which are "Point" and "Array":

Point - allows the input of a single Eaves Brace
Array - allows user to specify the number of Eaves Braces required, evenly divided along the Eaves Beam.

Geometric Limitations

  • Eaves Beam and Purlin must be parallel (Point and Array)
  • Purlin must not be shorter than the Eaves Beam (Array)

  • Point or Bolt on the Purlin

Selection Type : Array

  • Eaves Beam
  • Purlin

Notes : Cleats NB1 (-18º to +18º) and NB2 (+17º to +45º) must be manually selected, angle checked is the strut not the roof pitch.
