2. Two options available for creation of bolts:
a. Edge distance (default)
b. Bolt X,Y distance

a. Edge distance

This is the preferred option when working with end plates or foot plates.
Creates bolts controlled by edge distance in X and Y along with number of bolts in X and Y direction. With this option, insertion point is not significant for the outcome.
Edge distances are always kept according to values in the dialog. Increase or decrease the number of bolts by selecting more or less bolts in X and/or Y direction.

If needed, adjust the highlighted attributes in the picture below to get correct direction of the bolts.

b. Bolt X, Y distance

This is the preferred option when working with long plates or profiles.
Creates bolts according to bolt group internal X and Y distances along with offsets.

Insertion point indicates the start of the bolt group. Dx offset is controlling position along main part.
Control the direction of the bolts and correct location in relation to the main profile (for example to get the bolts to the web in a U-channel) by adjusting the values/tick-boxes according to below:

Vertical offset will move the bolt group perpendicular to the main part axis:
