This extension is used to apply / modify 'Bolt (1) connecting building object that is defined in the bolt assembly, and that fastens parts or assemblies or attaches to them
(1) Bolt must belong to a bolt assembly before it can be used in modeling.
(2) bolt element that represents a metal rod or pin that has a head at one end and the other end is open and threaded
(2) Bolts and other bolt elements are listed in the bolt catalog.
(2) A bolt is usually secured by a nut. A bolt is part of the bolt assembly.
Modifier' component to selected components in single attempt. There is option to configure attribute file for each component types. Also delete option is available for 'bolt modifier' component types.
How to Locate
‘BoltModifierApp’ application is available under toolbar as shown below.
Click the icon ‘BoltModifierApp’ from the above toolbar.
Input can be selected components or full model.
Bolt Modifier Application Dialog:
If 'None' selected against any component then those components won't be processed for all operations (Apply / Modify / Delete). This is applicable for 'Delete' option too as this attribute file selection is used for component identification too.
Component Selection Mode:
Option to select the components from the model or pre-selected. This is only applicable to list the component types in the mapping grid modeling aid that represents a three-dimensional complex of horizontal and vertical planes
In Tekla Structures, grids are used as an aid in locating objects in a model. The grid is shown on the view plane by dash-and-dot lines. It is also possible to show grids and grid line labels in drawings, and to modify grid properties in the drawings.
It is possible to have more than one grid in a model. For example, a large-scale grid for the entire structure, and smaller grids for some detailed sections.
which components have bolts.
This process selected components and lists those connections in the grid. If 'Bolt Modifier' attribute file is defined for selected component types in the file ComponentAttributeFileMap.dat then those data are shown in the grid. ComponentAttributeFileMap.dat should be placed in model attributes folder.
Once equivalent attribute file assigned to components and it can be saved to a file ComponentAttributeFileMap.dat using this control. The file is saved under attributes folder and this file can be ported to other model to get the same configuration.

Apply 'Bolt Modifier' component to selected components or all components in model. However this creates parent component component in a nested component that is superordinate to the components below it in the component hierarchy
as input and the 'M' symbol appear close to cone symbol of parent component. If already 'Bolt Modifier' is applied to components then it won't add this 'Bolt Modifier' component.
Modify 'Bolt Modifier' component to selected components or all components in model. This works with 'Bolt Modifier' applied to a parent component (not selection by bolt) and also created from the above 'Apply' option.
Delete 'Bolt Modifier' component to selected components or all components in model. This works with 'Bolt Modifier' applied to a parent component (not selection by bolt) and also created from the above 'Apply' option.
The above options modify the parent component wherever required to get appropriate results.
This option provided to remove 'Bolt Modifier' applied to a bolt group group of bolts that forms a connecting building object between an assembly main part and secondary parts
The number of bolts in a bolt group depends on the bolt group shape and the values of bolt distances.
and 'Bolt Modifier' using bolt can not be added by this application, need to add manually to individual bolt group. This option modifiy the parent component to reflect bolt properties from parent components after deletion of 'Bolt Modifier' component.
