Create a construction plane

Create a construction plane

  1. On the Edit tab, click Construction object > Plane .
  2. Pick three points.
  3. Click the middle mouse button.

    Tekla Structures draws the plane.

  4. To end the command, press Esc.
  5. To modify the construction planeconstruction object that represents a plane

    properties, double-click the plane in the model.

    The plane properties are shown in the property panecontrol element in Tekla Structures user interface in the form of a side pane window

    The property pane can be used to show and modify the properties of model objects.

    The property pane can be customized by using the property pane editor.

    1. Enter a name for the plane.
    2. If you want to make the construction plane magneticproperty of a rectangular grid, a grid plane, a construction line, and a construction plane that enables the attached model objects to follow when the object in question is moved

      , select Yes in the Magnetic list.
    3. Click Modify.

Following the instruction in the video to use the Magnetic option it seems that it's enough the construction plane touches the surface to work, instead in fact to get it work it's mandatory the construction plane touches the part handles, not the surface.
