Plugin Bolts Between Points Net (m093) is used for placing bolts in parts between two points.
Before you start
Create a part.
1. Select main part(1) part that exists in a building object and that determines the position number for the assembly or cast unit and the direction of assembly or cast unit drawings
(1) Main part can be an assembly main part or a cast unit main part.
(2) input part that the user selects first when creating a component
(2) Connections and details always have a component main part.
2. Pick the first position.
3. Pick the second position.
The bolts are automatically generated.
Part identification key
In the Parameters tab the bolt properties are defined.
|Bolt size||Bolt diameter. The default is
|Standard||Bolt assembly standard/grade. The default value is
|Cut length||Indicate which parts the bolt connects. The value defines the area Tekla Structures should search for parts that belong to the bolt group. Using cut length you can determine whether the bolt will go through one flange or two.|
|Tolerance||Tolerance = Hole diameter - Bolt diameter. The default value is
|Rotation||Option to set the bolt group rotation.|
|Assembly||Select whether to create washers and nuts with the bolt.
If you want to create only holes without any bolts, clear all the check boxes.
|Auto detect neighbour parts||Set Auto detect to No to only bolt the main part. Set Auto detect to Yes to also bolt neighbour parts.|
|Start offset||Offset value from the start point.|
|End offset||Offset value from the end point.|
|Offset Y||Offset value from the Y direction.|
|Bolt Distance Y||Bolt spacing in Y direction.
Use a space to separate bolt spacing values. Enter a value for each space between bolts. For example, if there are 3 bolts, enter 2 values.
|Bolt Distance X||Bolt spacing in X direction..|
|Number of bolts||Number of bolts in X direction.|
|Divide options||Options to divide the bolts in X direction. The following options are available:|
Start and end offset are defined, in between the defined number of bolts are equally divided.
|Exact to start of points
The bolts are divided starting from the defined start point offset with a defined number of bolts and bolt spacing.
|Exact to end of points
The bolts are divided starting from the defined end point offset with a defined number of bolts and bolt spacing.
|Exact to middle of points
The defined number of bolts is divided with the defined bolt spacing. The rest size is equally divided between the start and end point offset.
|Look at length of points
The maximum number of bolts are created using the defined bolt spacing. The rest size is equally divided between the start and end point offset.
The start and end point offset are defined. In between bolts are divided with the defined maximum bolt spacing.
|Extra bolt length||Additional bolt length. Increases the material thickness that Tekla Structures uses when calculating bolt length. For example, you might need extra bolt length to allow for painting. You can also build additional lengths into bolt assemblies.|
|Create first||Creating (yes/no) the first bolt in the bolt group.|
|Create last||Creating (yes/no) the last bolt in the bolt group.|
