Number parts

Use the Number modified objects command to number all parts that have been created or modified since the last numberingprocess of assigning position numbers to parts, cast units, assemblies, or reinforcement

In Tekla Structures, the position numbers assigned in the numbering are shown in marks and templates, for example.

. If this is the first time you run numbering for this model, all parts in the model are new and will therefore be numbered.

If the model has changed since the last numbering so that a modified part becomes identical to an unmodified part, Tekla Structures updates the part numbers in the following way when you run numbering:

  • If both or none of the parts have drawings, the unmodified part will keep its number.
  • If one of the parts has a drawing and the other one does not, the number of the part that has a drawing will stay the same, and the number of the part that does not have a drawing will change.

To number new and modified parts:

On the Drawings & reports tab, click Perform numbering > Number modified objects .

Tekla Structures numbers the parts.
