Resize the drawing view boundary

Drawing view boundary can be used when cropping the contents of a drawing view. For example, it is possible to resize drawing views so that there is no unnecessary empty space in them, or to show just a specific part of the drawing view contents.

A drawing view is a container for model and drawing objects.
A drawing can include several drawing views, which usually are two-dimensional views, plane views, to the model.
Examples of drawing views in Tekla Structures include main views, section views, single-part views, and 3D views.
, which becomes visible when you click the view frame. You can resize the view boundary, for example, to show just a specific part of the view contents.
When you select a view, the view boundary is highlighted also in other views. When you change the selected view's boundary in the other views using view boundary handles, the change can be seen in the view boundary of the selected view. This way you can easily adjust the section viewdrawing view that shows a selected area as a cross section
A section view can be created of the parts in a drawing view. A section view can be created manually or automatically.

- Click the view frame.
- Click one of the handles on the view boundary.
- Drag the handles along the x or y axis of the view.
When the view boundary changes size, the view frame adjusts with the new boundary size.

In the example below, the section view in the bottom-left corner has been selected, and the view boundary is highlighted in two other views. You can change the view boundary of the selected view in the other views by dragging the view boundary handles, to change the section view depth, for example.
