Creates typical flexural and shear reinforcementreinforcement provided to resist shear force

Shear reinforcement in beams is in form of stirrups and in columns in form of ties.

for a rectangular spandrel.

Reinforcement created

  • Prestress straight or depressed strands for flexural reinforcement in the spandrel

  • Mild longitudinal bars for flexural reinforcement

  • Meshreinforcement that represents a mesh of steel bars in two perpendicular directions

    In Tekla Structures, the reinforcement mesh bars in one direction are called main bars and reinforcement mesh bars perpendicular to them are called crossing bars.
