Use for defining whether dimensions and dimension lines are displayed when you select a column, beam, reinforcing barreinforcement that represents a steel bar used to reinforce a concrete structure

Dimensions and dimension lines are displayed when you select a single object, or when you select multiple objects by picking them. The dimensions are not displayed if a command is running, or if you select multiple objects with area selectionmethod of selecting objects that are included in a certain rectangular area of a model
In addition to the selected area, selection switches and selection filters control which object types are selected.
For reinforcement objects, the leg dimensions are displayed. For bar groups, including rebar sets, the leg dimensions of the first bar and the last bar are displayed. If you select individual bars in rebar sets, the leg dimensions of all the selected rebar set bars are displayed. Dimensions are not displayed for curved or circular bars, or for hooks.
When this advanced option is set to TRUE (default), Tekla Structures displays the dimensions and dimension lines.
When this advanced option is set to FALSE , the dimensions and dimension lines are not displayed.
This advanced option is user specific and the setting is saved in options.bin under user folder. Restart Tekla Structures to activate the new value.
When direct modification is switched on, the standard object dimensions and dimension lines are always hidden, regardless of these settings. Only the direct modificationfunction that activates the mode where the model objects can be modified by using handles
Direct modification enables additional handles and modification options.
dimensions are then shown. This makes it easier to know which dimensions can be edited.
The rebar set leg dimensions are shown or hidden according to these settings even when direct modification is switched on.
