Customize the Selecting, Snapping, and Snap override toolbars

You can customize the Selecting , Snapping , and Snap override toolbars by hiding some of the switches. You can customize the toolbars both in the modeling modemode that is used for creating and analyzing a model, and initiating the creation of a drawing and a report

Custom component editor and sketch editor can be accessed in modeling mode.

and in the drawing modemode that is used for editing the appearance and content of drawings

Tekla Structures switches to the drawing mode when the user opens any drawing.


Company administrators can distribute the customized toolbars to the whole organization.

Each toolbar has an eye buttonthat you can use for hiding the switches.

  1. Click the eye buttonto open a list that contains all the switches on the toolbar.

    Alternatively, right-click on the toolbar to open the list.

  2. To hide a switch, click the name of the switch in the list.

    The selected switch becomes hidden on the toolbar and the eye button changes in the list:.

  3. To make the switch visible again, click the hidden switch in the list.
