Tekla Model Sharing is one of the Tekla online services.

and share your models, the following prerequisites need to be met:

  • Internet connection

You need to establish a connection to the Tekla Model Sharing service to perform any model sharing actions.

    • TCP port 443 (the default HTTPS) outbound must be open.

If an HTTP proxy is used, it must support HTTP 1.1.

  • Trimble Identity

All sharing actions require authentication, and the authentication is done with Trimble Identityuser account to Tekla online services and other Trimble services

For a Tekla Structures user, Trimble Identity is a single sign-on account which enables the user’s online identity management. All sharing actions require a valid Tekla Model Sharing license. Tekla Model Sharing licenses are tied to users' Trimble Identities. The organization's administrator assigns and manages the licenses in the Tekla Online Admin Tool.

About Service Pack in use, user1 cloud use the last service pack ,for example SP8, and user2 could use the service pack 6 without any problems?

by Tommi Hautalahti

There is nothing built into the software that would prevent that, and it probably mostly works fine, but it can't be guaranteed to always work without problems. As stated above, the recommendation is that all users stay current with the latest updates. This way, the software behaves the same for all users, and they have the latest fixes to any issues.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest service packs is our official recommendation for all users, even those who only work on single-user models.
