Combine and explode sketch objects in drawings

You can explodeto ungroup the objects that are parts of another object or a component

In Tekla Structures, it is possible to explode components, cast units, assemblies, bent plates, parts that have attached parts, and drawing shapes and plugins.

The exploded objects cannot be reverted back to the original group.

  1. Select the separate lines or polylines.

  2. Go to the Drawing tab and click Combine .

Separate lines and polyline are combined into a single polyline or a closed polygon. When you select the combined shape, you can see that Tekla Structures has combined the lines and created more handles in the shape:

  1. Select polylines, rectangles or polygons.
  2. Go to the Drawing tab and click Explode .

    The polylines, rectangles and polygons are exploded into single lines:
