New Excel export for reference model version changes

When the reference modelmodel which the designer can use as an aid when building another model

A reference model is created in Tekla Structures or in other software and can be inserted to Tekla Structures. The reference model appears together with the model but it is not modified by Tekla Structures. The user can snap to reference model points.

For example, an architectural model, a plant design model, or a heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) model can be a reference model.

change management is active, you can now export the contents of the changes list into an Excel file. You can select if the exported Excel file contains all properties or changed properties only. The information is exported in the current language.

  • To export the Excel file : In the Change detection section of the reference model side pane, clickExport to Excel. After this, define the needed settings in the Export data to Excel dialog box. When you are ready, click Export.

    • Template : Select a new Excel template for the export.
    • Export without column headers : If you do not want to show the changes list column headers in the Excel sheet, select this option.
    • Export details : Exports all property details. Property details are shown collapsed by default. When you open the collapsed details by clicking the plus (+) button, all details are listed under titles Name , Old value and New value.
    • Changed details only : Only exports those property details that have changed between reference model versions.

The changes list is exported to an Excel sheet. Objects that you filter out using comparison set filtering are not exported. The exported file contains the following columns:

  • Status
  • Name
  • profile
  • Material
  • Type
  • GUID
