Tapered Hollow Section
The Tapered hollow section plug-in allows to create the hollow sections of conical shapes. Allow to split the total sections in to segments and allow to define different thicknesses at each level.

Plugin is a .dll file and loaded inside Tekla Structures process.
Plugins can be started from the applications and components catalog.

Usage
Click the icon ‘Tapered Hollow Section’ from 'Application and Component'.
Input order
1) Pick position
Pick any point like any column creation.
After applying plug-in the conical member creates as shown below

Parameters
Fields highlighted in Red color in the above image are for defining the bottom and top diameter of the profile.
Fields highlighted in Blue color in the above image are for defining the bottom and top thickness of the profile. Here user can define two different thickness at top and bottom.
No. of segments
Here user can define the no. of segements for a profile.
Height list
This is a distance list, user can define the individual height for each segment.
Properties
User can define the other profile properties Name, Material, Finish and Class
Thickness
This tab is for defining the Custom thickness at each segment.
Based on the inputs of the first tab, the bottom and top default thickness are loaded automatically. In some special cases where user want to change the thickness for each segment of the profile, to do so use Default / Custom option. User can turn the option to Custom to define the desired thickness at each level.

This Plug-in can be used to create hollow structures for steel members by changing the material.
