Toggle between two user coordinate systems

Toggle between two user coordinate systems

You can toggle between two user coordinate systems that have the same point of origincenter of the coordinate system where the axes intersect and form a fixed point of reference for the geometry of the surrounding space

: the UCSlocal coordinate system defined by the user and used in a drawing view

User coordinate system makes it easier to place drawing objects, because the user can place the drawing objects relative to a user-defined point of origin, or a base point in the drawing view.

Tekla Structures displays the user coordinate system symbol in the current drawing view when the user creates, copies, moves, or modifies drawing objects.

following the axes of the drawing viewview that includes selected model objects or an area in the model, that is represented in a drawing

A drawing view is a container for model and drawing objects.

A drawing can include several drawing views, which usually are two-dimensional views, plane views, to the model.

Examples of drawing views in Tekla Structures include main views, section views, single-part views, and 3D views.

and the oriented UCS you have created.

  • To toggle between the coordinate systems, open a drawing, go to the Views tab and click User coordsys > Toggle orientation ( Ctrl + T ).
