Display detailing of a part

In some cases it is useful to see in the model all the objects that are connected to a part, such as components, welds, fittings, reinforcement, and surfaces. You can then examine, for example, whether parts are welded correctly.

  1. Select a part.
  2. ClickDisplay detailing on the contextual toolbarfloating toolbar that contains commands for modifying the most common object properties

    The user can customize the contextual toolbar.

    The term mini toolbar is used in Tekla Structures until version 21.1.

    Alternatively, you can press Alt+D , or use Quick Launch.

For steel parts, Tekla Structures displays all parts, bolts, welds, cuts, fittings, and other details belonging to the assembly, even if you had defined them as hidden in the display settings. For concrete parts, Tekla Structures displays also reinforcement, surface treatmentbuilding object that represents finishing of a part

The term surface treatment is used in concrete detailing. For concrete parts surface treatment includes surface mixes, tiles, and flat finishes, such as troweling and sandblasting.

The term surface finish is used in steel detailing. For steel parts surface finishes include fire-proofing and unpainted areas.
