Save a custom component Save a custom component After modifying a custom componentcomponent that the user creates and uses for creating model objects whose composition the user can modify as a group, save the changes. To Do this Save changes to all copies of the custom component In the custom component editor, click the Save component button. In the Save confirmation dialog box, click Yes. Tekla Structures saves the changes and applies them to all copies of the custom component in the model. Save the component with a new name In the custom component editor, click the Save with new name button. Enter a new name for the component. Save and close the component In the custom component editor, click the Close button. In the Close custom component editor message, click Yes. If you click No , the custom component editor closes without saving the changes. Sometimes if I go from 2 screens to 1 screen, the toolbar gets lost on the second monitor which is no longer hooked up, and there is no way to close or save the Custom Component Editor. 08.09.2017 14:02 by Tekla User Assistance Thanks for your question. When closing the model, Tekla Structures should prompt you to save the custom component.
