This connection can transfer much bigger shear force than similar connection having cable loops instead of loops made of reinforcing barreinforcement that represents a steel bar used to reinforce a concrete structure

The steel bars are usually ribbed and they are used to increase the tensile strength of concrete.


On the construction site vertical reinforcing bars are placed within the loops before casting concrete between the elements.
