Hollow Core Slab To Middle Beam

Hollow Core Slab To Middle Beam

1. Purpose and description

The seam reinforcement is added in between the hollow core slabs. Reinforcing either goes through a holesmall hollow open throughout a part or assembly that is usually used for fastening parts with bolts or other such objects

Hole is created in the same way as bolts and hole properties are defined in the bolt properties.

in a beam or over the beam. The reinforcement has a role in stiffening the slabplate that represents a concrete structure

In Tekla Structures, a slab is created by picking three or more points.

Slab may be part of a floor, for example.

system and also works actively in case of a fire and preventing a continuous collapse of the structural system.

2. Usage

The connection can be created from Component catalogcatalog that contains all system components and custom components, and the macros and applications

The term component catalog is used in Tekla Structures until version 21.1.

. The connection name is “Hollow Core Slab Middle Beam”.

After starting the connection:

1. Select the concrete beam as the primary part for the connection.
2. Select 2 … n hollow core slabs on one side of the beam
3. Select 2 … n hollow core slabs on the other side of the beam

3. Supported beam types

4. Extension properties

Most of the extension properties are self-explanatory. The rest are explained here.

5. Additional information

Note that this connection only works in orthogonalview projection that displays objects in right-angles projection

In model view the size of the objects is the same despite of their distance to the viewing point and the zoom remains on part faces.

case. If the hollow core slabs are skew related to beam, the seams are very rarely continuous and therefore it is recommended to use the Hollow Core Slab to Edge Beam tool in those cases.
