This extension allows the user to create multiple electric or sewer grooves in the selected hollow core slabs.

1. Purpose and description

The extension is designed to work with hollow core slabs created out of Tekla Structures ‘beams’ or hollow core slabs created with Tekla ‘components’. This extension uses the ‘Hollow Core End Recess’ extension to create the electric/sewer grooves.

2. Using Hollow Core Area End Recess

The extension can be created from the Component catalogcatalog that contains all system components and custom components, and the macros and applications

The term component catalog is used in Tekla Structures until version 21.1.

. The extension name is “Hollow Core Area End Recess”.

After starting the extension:
    1. Select multiple hollow core slabplate that represents a concrete structure

In Tekla Structures, a slab is created by picking three or more points.

Slab may be part of a floor, for example.

parts or component (e.g. Floor tool).
    2. Pick a point in the edge of the groove
    3. Pick a point in the other edge of the groove

All picked hollow core slabs that are intersected by the line created by the picked points will have end groove. The picked points also define the direction of the groove. The groove is created from the picked points in the direction of the slab center.

User can select the desired attribute file to be used by the Single hollow core slab end groove extension.
